Gem Tong holders combine the best features of the gemstone prongs and tweezers together, in that they will hold the gemstone securely like the four prong gemstone holders do, but they will also securely grip around the girdle of your faceted gemstones like gem tweezers do, but in a much more secure way, allowing you to confidently hold and view the gemstone from the side.
They hold faceted gemstones by extending two elongated rectangular loops that sit nicely around each side of the girdle on a faceted gemstone, which holds it securely allowing you to easily rotate and view your gemstone.
Gemologists have also found these excellent for visual optics methods, when its required to hold the gemstone very close to the eye.
After struggling with fiddly tweezers for many years we have found the Gem Tong holders a more secure way to hold faceted gemstones.
