Description
This 2.85ct colour change Zircon from Tanzania has an underlying base colour of mauve maroon when viewed indoors or outdoors in full sun.
When viewed with cool white light it displays a pinkish purple colour which then changes to a raspberry red colour under warm incandescent light.
Not all Zircons will show this colour change effect, with only a very small percentage of these types of stones will ever display colour change, which makes them a very collectable gemstone.
This Zircon has a VS clarity rating (very slightly included) and is also a “High” type Zircon with a high RI of 1.98, giving it a sparkle that rivals diamond.
Zircons are still a fraction of the price when compared to other gemstones making them one of the last undervalued collector stones currently available, and If they also display colour change as this one does, it can only add to their value!
